Naperville Neighbors United (NNU) was founded in 2018 by Councilman Dr. Benny White and local community leaders who recognized the need for deeper connection and understanding within the community. In 2020, NNU became a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, nonprofit organization.
Rooted in the values of inclusion and respect for diversity, NNU works to strengthen relationships, build trust, and foster meaningful engagement among residents across Naperville.
We translate values into action through dialogue, education, and collaboration. By facilitating meaningful conversations and offering educational opportunities, we create spaces where diverse perspectives are welcomed, heard, and respected.
Our approach is grounded in empathy and understanding, encouraging open exchange and courageous conversations that deepen connection and promote unity within our community.
Collaboration is central to our mission. We actively partner with nonprofit organizations and community groups that share our vision of a more connected and compassionate society. Together, we expand access to resources, strengthen networks of support, and work toward lasting, positive impact for individuals and families in Naperville and beyond.
Our Board of Directors and volunteers are dedicated community leaders who are deeply committed to building trust, fostering inclusion, and strengthening connections throughout the community.
